Nannette Beyea Silvernail graduated from Russell Sage College in Troy, New York with a B.A. in English. Her poetry, articles and essays have been published in multiple minor publications over the years. Dancing in Cornmeal: Life with Autism, her first full-length book, is about life as mom and homeschool teacher of her younger daughter, who has autism.

Ms. Silvernail has been involved with her local Autism Society of America chapter as secretary, newsletter editor and member of the Board of Directors. She has also taught children with autism in a private school setting. These experiences, as well as the seven years she has spent as her daughters? primary teacher, are the fountain from which Dancing in Cornmeal has sprung.

When Ms. Silvernail is not writing, she continues in her full-time career as mom and homeschool teacher/therapist. She lives in Georgia with her husband, two daughters and four cats.
